Variable Frequency Rebar Cutting Machine

Variable Frequency Rebar Cutting Machine

Variable Frequency Rebar Cutting Machine Core Functions & Advantages
  1. Soft Start Direct-on-line starting current reaches 4–7 times the rated current, which surges the power grid and delivers heavy impact to the clutch, gearbox, crankshaft and cutting blades. The VFD enables smooth speed ramp-up with starting current within the rated value. It greatly reduces mechanical shock, lowers blade chipping risk and extends the service life of gears, bearings and clutch assembly.
  2. Adjustable Cutting Speed (Constant Torque) Cutting speed can be adjusted by frequency:
  • 25–40Hz (low frequency): For large-diameter rebar and HRB500 high-strength rebar. Slower stroke with stable and sufficient torque.
  • 50Hz: Standard rated motor speed.
  • 50–60Hz: Slightly increased speed for small plain round bars to raise output.

Note: Excessive over-frequency is forbidden, as the mechanical clutch has a limit on impact force.

  1. Comprehensive Built-in Protection It provides protection against over-current, overload, phase loss, over-voltage, under-voltage and overheating. It stops the machine timely when jamming or hard rebar stuck occurs, preventing motor burnout and crankshaft fracture.
  2. Adaptable to Unstable Site Power Supply Construction sites usually suffer from fluctuating voltage. The VFD stabilizes power output to the motor, suitable for sites with weak or limited grid capacity.
  3. Reduced Noise and Wear Smooth acceleration and deceleration cut down knocking noise of the clutch. Impulse wear on transmission parts is decreased, prolonging maintenance intervals.
  4. Easy Integration into Automatic Production Lines It supports multi-speed terminal control and signal interlock with rebar straighteners, feeding mechanisms and counters, ideal for automated rebar fabrication plants.
