GHM Machinery’s Tunnel Steel Arch Welding Production Line

GHM Machinery’s fully automatic steel arch welding production line is a state-of-the-art intelligent processing system designed to handle the entire workflow from raw steel to finished steel arches. This technology is crucial for tunnel construction, providing precision and efficiency in forming steel arch supports. The production line integrates advanced components and processes, including steel plate cutting, I-beam cold bending, and robot welding, all coordinated through intelligent control systems.

Key Features and Benefits

  1. Fully Automated Process:
    • The production line automates the entire process, from raw material handling to the finished product.
    • Intelligent robots and conveying platforms ensure seamless operation and high efficiency.
  2. Comprehensive Production Capabilities:
    • Automatic Head Alignment: Ensures precise placement and alignment of I-beams for further processing.
    • Automatic Bending: I-beams are bent to the required arch shape using specialized arch bending machines.
    • Automatic Welding: Robots handle welding of the connecting plates and I-beams, ensuring consistent and high-quality welds.
  3. High Efficiency and Precision:
    • The system is designed for high-speed production, significantly reducing the time required for manual operations.
    • Precision control systems ensure high accuracy in cutting, bending, and welding processes.
  4. Material and Labor Savings:
    • Automation reduces the need for manual labor, decreasing labor costs and the potential for human error.
    • Efficient use of materials minimizes waste, making the production process more sustainable.

Production Process

  1. Material Handling:
    • Raw materials are loaded onto a material rack.
    • The I-beam is automatically transferred to the feeding structure via a conveying platform.
  2. Sawing and Alignment:
    • The sawing machine cuts the I-beam to the required length and aligns the head for subsequent processing.
  3. Arch Bending:
    • The I-beam is transferred to the arch bending machine for forming into the desired arch shape.
  4. Post-Bending Operations:
    • After bending, the arch is automatically sawn to finalize its shape.
    • The formed arch is then transferred to the welding platform.
  5. Welding:
    • A supporting mechanism transports the curved arch to the flipping platform.
    • Handling robots load the arch for welding.
    • Welding robots attach the connecting plates to one side of the arch.
    • The arch is flipped, and the process is repeated on the other side.
  6. Final Handling:
    • Once welding is complete, the finished arch is placed on the finished product conveyor line.
    • The entire process is completed without generating waste, thanks to the automatic splicing structure.

Advantages for Tunnel Construction

  • Enhanced Productivity: Automated processes significantly boost production speed and output.
  • Consistency and Quality: High-precision machines and robots ensure uniform quality across all products.
  • Cost Efficiency: Reduced labor and material costs lead to substantial savings.
  • Environmental Benefits: Efficient use of materials and minimized waste contribute to a more sustainable operation.
  • Safety: Automation reduces the need for manual handling, decreasing the risk of workplace injuries.
