GHM Machinery Steel Bending Machine Working Principle

Steel Bending Machine operate in a sequential manner to bend steel bars efficiently. When Steel Bending Machine is activated, the feed motor initiates rotation, causing the upper guide wheels to turn the steel bars while the lower guide wheels press them with spring pressure. As the steel bar reaches the designated position, the bending motor engages to bend it, followed by the motor reversing the worktable for resetting, and finally, the electric steel bar shearer completes the bending task.

Key design components of the main device include:
  1. Steel Bar Feeding and Pressing Mechanism: This mechanism involves the lower guide wheel, which is adjusted to the designated position using a screw nut mechanism and pressed against the steel bars via spring force. The feed motor then rotates to drive the lower guide wheels, advancing the steel bars and facilitating the feeding process.
  2. Steel Bar Bending Mechanism: This mechanism utilizes a motor to rotate the turntable, which is equipped with retaining posts. As the turntable rotates, these posts block the steel bars, enabling the bending process.
Operating and Maintaining Steel Bar Bending Machines

Proper operation and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and effectiveness of steel bar bending machines. Here are essential guidelines:

  1. Pre-Operation Checks: Always run the machine dry before use to ensure normal speed. Insert the steel bar to be bent into the turntable’s fixed gap once the machine is running smoothly. Secure the other end of the steel bar manually before initiating the bending process.
  2. Maintenance Procedures: Regularly inspect mandrels, stoppers, turntables for damages or cracks, and ensure the protective covers are securely fastened. Only operate the machine after confirming normal operation post-dry run.
  3. Safe Bending Practices: Keep steel bars close to the baffle during bending operations. Avoid changing mandrels, adjusting speeds, or refueling/cleaning while the machine is running to prevent accidents.
  4. Capacity Awareness: Do not exceed the machine’s specified speed, diameter, or number of steel bars during bending operations to avoid equipment damage or safety hazards.
  5. U-Turn Bending Safety: When performing U-turn bends, be mindful of potential collisions with people or objects and adjust accordingly. Refueling and cleaning should only be done after the machine has completely stopped running to ensure safety.

By following these guidelines and maintaining a disciplined approach to operation and maintenance, users can ensure the safe and efficient operation of steel bar bending machines, prolonging their lifespan and minimizing risks.
