A used rebar straightening machine is designed to straighten bent, twisted, or deformed steel reinforcement bars (rebars) for reuse in construction and metalworking applications. Its core principle involves applying mechanical force to correct the curvature of the rebar, restoring it to a straight and usable condition.

Model GX4-12

1. Main Components
  • Feeding System: Guides the bent rebar into the straightening zone.

  • Straightening Rollers/Wheel Sets: Multiple high-strength alloy rollers arranged at different angles apply pressure to the rebar.

  • Drive System: An electric or hydraulic motor powers the rollers, pulling the rebar through the machine.

  • Cutting Mechanism (Optional): Some models include an automatic shear to cut straightened rebars to a preset length.

2. Straightening Process
  1. Feeding → The bent rebar is fed into the machine and gripped by the rollers.

  2. Multi-Roller Straightening → The rebar passes through multiple sets of staggered rollers, where high-speed rotation and pressure repeatedly bend and stretch it, gradually eliminating deformations.

  3. Discharge → The straightened rebar is ejected, ready for cutting or direct use.

3. Key Mechanical Principles
  • Plastic Deformation: The rollers apply enough force to induce plastic deformation, realigning the rebar’s internal structure.

  • Roller Arrangement: The staggered “S-shaped” path ensures uniform pressure from all directions.

4. Compatible Rebar Specifications
  • Diameter: Typically Φ4mm to Φ14mm (varies by model).

  • Material: Low-carbon steel, ribbed bars (HRB335/HRB400), etc.

5. Used Rebar Straightening Machine Advantages
  • High Efficiency: 10x faster than manual straightening, reducing labor costs.
  • Eco-Friendly & Cost-Effective: Minimizes rebar waste, ideal for scrap metal recycling.
  • Adjustable Settings: Roller spacing and pressure can be modified for different rebar sizes.
6. Maintenance Tips
  • Regularly inspect roller wear and replace damaged parts.

  • Keep components lubricated to reduce friction.

  • Avoid overloading to prevent motor burnout.
